Dr. Suryanarayana Nanda

Dr. Suryanarayana Nanda has devoted his life to studying Vedic texts and Classical Sanskrit literature. He holds a Ph.D. in Sanskrit from Utkal University in Bhubaneswar, as well as an M.A. and M.Phil. from Delhi University, and Sahityācārya from S. Jagannatha Sanskrit Visvavidyalaya, Puri.

Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor of Sanskrit at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. He also worked for a decade as an Acharya (traditional teacher) of Vedic texts and philosophy at a GURUKUL in New Delhi.
Additionally, Dr. Nanda spent over a decade as a TV and radio broadcaster, delivering news in Sanskrit for both All India Radio and Door Darshan in Delhi. He also worked as a full-time Pracharaka (volunteer) for more than 13 years, promoting Sanskrit as a spoken language.
Dr. Nanda has authored numerous publications, including more than 30 articles in Sanskrit, Hindi, and English. He was also the editor of Arsha Jyotih, a monthly Sanskrit magazine.
Currently, Dr. Nanda is an Acharya at Vedic Culture Center, Arya Samaj Greater Houston since 2012.
