In this course, students will undertake detailed study of Bhagavad Gītāin the following areas:
In this final course students will continue to demonstrate their understanding of the Saṃskṛtam concepts and Bhagavad Gītā learnt so far in the course. Students will also perform the Anvaya translations and explain the meanings (tātparyam) of ślokas from chapter 18. As part of this course students will perform two additional activities 1. Produce a reference chart of all grammatical constructs covered in this program and 2. Collaborate in groups and present a summary of how teachings from the Bhagavad Gītā have impacted the society at large.
Students will have a dedicated 1.5 hours of contact time with the faculty each week. The class is carefully structured to facilitate effective learning in an online face-to-face format. The curriculum is designed to build upon the knowledge gained in previous classes. Regular homework assignments will provide valuable opportunities to practice the concepts covered in class. Successful completion of the course requires the submission of graded homework and the final Quarter End Exam (QEE).
