This course consists of 9 sessions of 3 hours each, a total of 27 hours. An additional optional session of 3 hours may be added based on attendee needs for further discussion. The Masterclass in Yoga Concepts course begins with an overview and line-by-line in-depth discussion of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, which provides the context into the philosophy and principles of yoga.
Learning this is essential to understand the concept of existence and most importantly the concept of one’s duty (SvaDharma). Following the study of Yoga Sutras, we go into discussion of the mechanism and approaches of yoga practices. This provides the perspective to understand the application of yoga in different types of practices: Hatha Yoga, Tantra Yoga, etc. It will be helpful for those who seek to become yoga teachers or yoga therapists.
For dissected and clear understanding of these yoga approaches, Power of Breath and Meditation are separated for discussion.
